The Australia Post Postcards app is a fun way to share your holiday snaps with loved ones.
On contract from IMA Management & Technology, I created the original wireframes and an interactive prototype for the app. I conducted several rounds of user testing in order to refine the product idea, the feature set, and the user flow through the app. As user advocate for the project, I worked with a team from Amnesia Razorfish during the development phase, created some of the visuals, managed integration partner relationships, and conducted further rounds of user testing once a beta app was ready for testing. I also designed and wrote all of the copy for the landing pages, the iTunes sales page and the FAQs.
The app was featured in Apple’s app store on the “What’s Hot” list for the Travel category soon after it was launched. To date it has an average user rating in iTunes of 4.5 stars from 693 ratings.
The app was awarded the 2012 Australian Mobile Award for the best app in the utilities category, came second runners up in the IAB Australia’s creative showcase 7.1, and was one of three finalists shortlisted for the Swipe 2012 Design Awards.
